As a household name, Thermos faced the unique challenge of encouraging customers to shop directly through their UK eCommerce store, rather than via one of their many retail partners.
Having done no PPC advertising for their UK site in the past, Thermos required a digital partner to help them achieve one straightforward goal: to increase sales.
We planned and delivered a new Google PPC strategy that capitalised on the existing search demand for the Thermos brand, as well as capturing new customers by targeting unbranded transactional search terms.
Our first step was to carry out comprehensive keyword research and competitor analysis to identify which search terms and tactics offered the most opportunity for driving sales on key products. Focusing on three key product types, we implemented precision targeted ad groups to improve ad relevance, maximise conversions and keep cost per acquisition low.
Investing predominantly in highly targeted Google Search campaigns, we were able to drive a significant increase in sales, with 40% of all transactions now attributed to Google Ads.
